Dr_Tom.jpgThomas McMichael, DVM                           

Dr. McMichael has been a licensed   veterinarian for 30 years at College Park Animal Hospital.  He graduated from Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979, after completing a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and Masters in Physiology.  Dr. McMichael has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, endoscopy, ultrasound and dentistry.

Dr. McMichael is married and has three children.  He enjoys golfing, fishing, sports, and bee keeping.

Kim Beck, DVM, ABVP

Dr. Kim Beck has been treating patients at College Park Animal Hospital since 2005.  She joined the practice shortly after moving to the area from Salt Lake City, Utah.  Dr. Beck obtained a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Northwestern University before attending the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.  She is also a diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.  She enjoys the challenges of pathology, dermatology, and internal medicine.  On weekends Dr. Beck spends her time hiking, sewing, and eating sushi.  She lives in Silver Spring with her husband Greg and beloved dog, Olive. 

  Congratulations to Dr. Beck and her husband who just had their first baby in early January!! Dr Beck will be out on maternity leave for the next several months.

 

 

 

 

Dr_Ashleigh.JPG Ashleigh Baer, DVM

Dr. Ashleigh Baer has been working at College Park Animal Hospital since June 2011. She graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2011 after obtaining a bachelors degree in Animal Science at the University of Maryland in 2007. Dr. Baer has interests in surgery, endocrinology, and internal medicine. Dr. Baer spends her free time with her husband, Rob, and their three dogs--Maggie, Koda, and Copper. She enjoys travelling, cooking, sailing, and is an avid Baltimore Ravens and Maryland Terrapins fan.

 

 

 

Dr_Katie.JPGKatharyn Kryda, DVM

Dr. Katharyn Kryda grew up just south of Chicago and decided she would beome a veterinarian at the age of 7.  She joined College Park Animal Hospital in 2011 and is particularly interested in surgery, anesthesiology, pain management, and preventive medicine.  Dr. Kryda was educated at New York University and the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.  She enjoys traveling, art museums, current events, and trail running.  She lives in Washington, D.C. with her adorable mutt, Amelia.

 

 

 

 

Joyce Richardson.jpgJoyce Richardson                                                        Joyce started working as a receptionist for College Park Animal Hospital in 1977.  Since her promotion to hospital manager in 1982, Joyce has been leading our support staff in providing outstanding client care.  She is highly involved in animal rescue, with a soft spot for Boxers.  Her two cats, pair of parakeets, and Double Yellow-headed Amazon Parrot make Joyce an eclectic and enthusiastic pet owner.

Linda joined our team of receptionists in 1983 after graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in 1981.  Her two French Bulldogs, Ollie and Stan, are the center of Linda's world.  In her spare time she enjoys knitting, reading, and snuggling with her Frenchies.

Laurie joined College Park Animal Hospital in 1993.  As lead surgical technician, she is an essential part of our team.  She spends most of her time hanging out with Polo, her boisterous Golden Retriever.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Susie.jpgSusie Leone         

 Susie joined our team of receptionists in 1997.  A true animal lover, she is an active foster parent for the Partnership for Animal Welfare and Best DAWG Rescue.  Susie is passionate about her many pets and her special "foster kids".
