Healthy Pets and Healthy Smiles!

Dental hygiene is an incredibly important, yet often overlooked, aspect of your pet's health. Poor dental hygine can lead to excessive tartar, bad breath, gingivitis, periodontal disease, tooth loss, and damage to internal organs.  Brushing your pet's teeth daily and yearly dental cleaning by the veterinarian can help eliminate the risk of these problems.  Dental care should become a routine part of your pet's daily care.

What you need to brush your pet's teeth:

1) A toothbrush or finger brush appropriate for your pet's size

2) A pet toothpaste

       - these usually come in very tasty flavors like beef, poultry, or cheese

       - don't use human toothpaste as this can upset your pet's stomach and

contains chemicals that are not safe for pets

3) treats to reward good bruching behavior!
